For this month’s challenge, our rider’s will notice a starburst in the middle of the arena. There are 4 challenges they can do. These challenges should be attempted on the ground leading their horse and while riding their horse.
CHALLENGE 1
Walk in a circle around the poles in both directions.
Do not walk over any of the poles.
CHALLENGE 2
Weave in and out of the poles as the arrows show on the illustration to the right.
Focus on those right turns or pivots.
Don’t let your horse step on or over the pole.Picture
CHALLENGE 3
Walk your horse over the ground poles. Don’t let them cheat and walk off.
Then have them trot over the poles for another challenge.
CHALLENGE 4
Pivot your horse in the middle of the starburst.
Practice pivots on the hind and the forehand.
