SpiritHorse Volunteer Team

The SpiritHorse Volunteer Team offers students ages 12 and up the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in horse care and equestrian instruction while making a valuable contribution to SpiritHorse. This program is ideal for mature, dedicated individuals who can commit consistently to their responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Equestrian Volunteer, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our equine programs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Horse Care:

  • Grooming, tacking, leading, and lunging horses to prepare them for classes.
  • Assisting with daily tasks like cleaning stalls, feeding, and ensuring the horses’ health and well-being.

• Lesson Assistance:

  • Supporting Certified Instructors during lessons by leading horses and helping new students feel comfortable and confident.
  • Sharing your equestrian knowledge to inspire and assist others, enhancing your communication and leadership skills.

• Ranch Operations:

  • Helping with office tasks such as organizing paperwork and program materials.
  • Contributing to the overall operation of the ranch, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

This program requires:

• Mature Individuals: Volunteers who can responsibly handle tasks and work with others in a professional setting.
• Consistent Commitment: Regular participation to ensure continuity and support for our programs and horses. This will be a written agreement to be considered.
